Tehran, July 25, IRNA -- Chairman of the executive board of IMIDRO, Dr.Mehdi Karbasian, among European Union investors announced that value of current and future projects in mine and mining sector in Iran is about $29 billion.
According to the report of the public relations of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Mehdi Karbasian travelled to Vienna in order to attend the IRAN-EU Conference Trade & Investment to present investment opportunities and attract cooperation of related firms.”Value of the current projects is about $9billion and the future projects have approximately $20billion value”, Karbasian said.
Since the establishment of IMIDRO (2002), it has implemented projects with approximate value of $17billion and made 70 thusand jobs in Iran, he continued.
According to the predictions, long term projects in Iran in mine and mining industries sector will be implemented by the year 2025. Aluminum, steel, rare earth elements, copper, gold and coal sectors are ready for investment, he added.
Also he announced that energy intensive special zones are being constructed in order to develop industry.” We made proper situation for investment and mining industries’ growth through preparing necessary infrastructure and facilities such as energy, customs,…”,Karbasian expressed.
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade noted the new exploration plan and explained that implementation of this project will announce new records of mining reserves in Iran to investors and will increase confidence of implementation of development plans.
